"TREV GET UP... THE GARDENERS ARE HERE!"

With such a big back yard there's still work to be done.

Some jobs are a little beyond us so we still need to bring in "the help"!

Good job fella's!

STILL HERE

A week into our free camping in Narrawong National Park.

We've had a couple of trips into Portland for supplies. Twice we have recharged the batteries and filled the water tank on the motorhome. The generator is doing a good job but Trev is thinking about backing the system up with solar panels on the roof.

We thought being a long weekend this place would be packed out, but there's still plenty of room to move.

GOOLWA SA - MOUNT GAMBIER SA - PORTLAND VIC

I can still body surf, woo hoo!

What a crazy week it has been, weather wise!

Firstly we were in Goolwa trying to survive 43c. We stayed at Bev and Dig's for a few nights while Trev put Airbags on the rear axils of the Winnebago. It was suggested that Airbags would give a smoother ride due to the weight of everything we are carrying onboard, and it did.

We decided to go to Goolwa's surf beach for a swim one day to cool off. I had forgotten how turbulent the waves and under water rips are at Goolwa.
What a blast, very refreshing but somewhat exhausting!

We made our way to Mount Gambier, 36c ;
where we stayed at the Mount Gambier Harness Racing Club, as you do!
Our timing was perfect, Friday night was a race meet and we had front row seats. The weather was still stinking hot!

Our next stop was, and is, Narrawong National Park, just inland from Portland, 21c.
This is a stunning free camp, picnic ground. We were going to stop for a couple of days but we'll stay now until after the long weekend.

Wallabies, Koalas, beautiful parrots, and this little guy!

and these guys...

and then, there were these guys!!!

"I'm Jake the Peg, deedle, eedle, eedle, um
With my extra leg, deedle, eedle, eedle, um." Hahaha!
