A week into our free camping in Narrawong National Park.
We've had a couple of trips into Portland for supplies. Twice we have recharged the batteries and filled the water tank on the motorhome. The generator is doing a good job but Trev is thinking about backing the system up with solar panels on the roof.
We thought being a long weekend this place would be packed out, but there's still plenty of room to move.
Looking forward to hearing all about your adventures. We are off to Vietnam in April so might blog our trip too! Enjoy and take care. Luv Sheri & Martin xxx
ReplyDeleteThanks Sheri & Martin. I'm a bit slack at the moment so letting the pictures do the talking haha. Yeh, we'd love to see your blog on Vietnam, if you decide to do one. xx
ReplyDeleteSolar panels are the way to go, and you will find you hardly ever need to use the generator once you have them, except in periods of rainy days or overcast. Even then, with the new panels on the market these days, they work pretty well on overcast days as well. You can find lots of information in the forums here http://www.caravanersforum.com , both good info and misleading, but it will give you ideas. Enjoy your travels
ReplyDeleteThanks Rick. We are having them fitted in Hobart.
