WARNAMBOOL - MELBOURNE

After leaving Narrawong Forest we hadn't made a decision as to our destination that day. We wanted to do some shopping etc in Warnambool and saw there was a very nice caravan park (Figtree) with indoor swimming pool en-suite sites etc. so we decided to stay there.

We had two weeks worth of washing to do and a big clean up. All was achieved in one day, including a swim!

We detoured through Geelong to catch up with one of our hosted "children", Peter. So nice to catch up.

Last night we stayed in a BP Service Station free park. It was set up well for overnight trucks, caravans and motorhomes. They even allowed everyone to use the toilets and showers at no cost. It was only 35 minutes out of Melbourne.
The only negative was that we aren't deaf!!!

Getting so excited now we are in Melbourne... Tasmania here we come!

Trev checking out the "Spirit" before our very early start in the morning.
We have to have left the caravan park by 5.30am

Due to quarantine laws in Tassie, we cannot take across any dairy, nuts, fruit, vege and honey. Needless to say we have been stuffing our faces for the past three days!!!

Last night we caught up with our good friends Janet and Eddie. They have a fabulous apartment only a short walk to Melbourne's CBD.

Great friends, delish food and Moet on the balcony...
what more could you want?
