MELBOURNE - TASMANIA

Port Melbourne at dawn is a beautiful place to behold,
We stored our car and Motorhome in the hold.
After locating our cabin, we stowed our stuff,
then went to find our friends on the deck above.
The lounges were abuzz with people from all places,
you had to make sure you guarded your spaces.

The crossing was smooth, no worries here mate,
we know how rough it can be across Bass Straight.
Devonport eventually showed through the mist,
but unloading took hours, what a boring twist!
Once we had cleared customs we drove to our campsite,
Railton, chosen by Christina, was a camper's delight.

Our Cabin
 We had stopovers at:

  • Preservation Bay (1)
Bumble Bee
  • Burnie (day)
  • Mackintosh Dam (2)
The weather varied during the day from 31 - 7 Celsius. Obviously we were in the mountains when it was 7 degrees.
